Polished Shine or Pure Health? Know Your Daal

Most people don’t really know what kind of dal they’re eating.

🔍 Polished dal goes through heavy milling. The outer bran layer – rich in fiber and nutrients – is removed to make it look shiny and cook faster. But in that shine, you lose what’s actually good for your body.

🌾 Unpolished dal, on the other hand, retains its natural outer layer. It’s soaked for 3 to4 days, sun-dried traditionally, and then dehusked slowly – preserving its natural taste, nutrition, and fiber.

💡 Did you know?

Today, Arhar (Toor) Dal in the market sells for ₹120–130/kg – because most of it is old, polished stock from last season.

But wait a month…
🌾 The new season crop will arrive, and prices are expected to jump to ₹200–210/kg.
This happens every year  because bulk stockists release the old dal first, and most of it is polished.

🛡️ At Vedatva, we don’t believe in shortcuts.

Our dal is grown in our own farms, soaked, sun-dried, and cleaned, just like it was done in ancient times.
No chemicals. No polish. Just pure, seasonal, nutrient-rich food.

We are not here to market mass products.
We are here to create awareness, because as citizens, it’s our duty to ask:

👉 Do you know your farmer?
👉 Do you know what’s in your food?

🔗 Limited stock. Made for those who value health.
